Follow Friday and Book Blogger Hop #2

Follow Friday and Book Blogger Hop are awesome ways to connect with fellow bloggers and discover new blogs each week. And let's just pretend it's still Friday, mkay? Great!
Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee's View, and this week's question comes from Nicki J Markus.

Question: The magic book fairy pops out of your cereal box and says "you and your favorite character (from a book of course) can switch places!" Who are you going to switch with?

This is such a hard question. There are tons of characters I'd love to switch places with, but I'm going to have to go with Ginny Weasley, because I've imagined myself in the world of Harry Potter so many times that if I actually had the opportunity to switch with her I'd have to take it. Plus she's just such an awesome character. I love that she doesn't let her (at first) unrequited crush on Harry turn her into a depressed and mopey girl, and she actually goes out and just dates tons of boys and doesn't live under her brothers' shadows and she just turns into this totally desirable and witty person. I love her so much. I could go on for a while, but I'll stop myself here. :)

Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Jennifer at Crazy for Books, and it's hosted this week by Lori's Reading Corner.

Question: Who is the one author that you are dying to meet?

I've actually been lucky enough to meet several of the authors that might have been on this list, but right now I think I'm going to have to go with Stephanie Perkins. I absolutely adore Anna and the French Kiss and Stephanie herself is hilarious. Plus she has blue hair! :D

  1. Hiya. New follower; found you via the Hop.

Y'know, I never liked Ginny and wanted Harry with Luna (I mean, I knew it was never gonna happen but still) but your description of Ginny's character does make me see her in a different light. You're right that she was never mopey - that's definitely a plus, 'cause Harry could be mopey enough for two!

I haven't read Anna and the French Kiss yet and so want to. All I hear about is how good it is.

  2. Thanks for stopping by! :)

I'm actually not a huge fan of Ginny with Harry either, but I really like Ginny as her own character.

And you should definitely read Anna and the French Kiss! I kept putting it off because I didn't think there was any way it could be as good as everyone said it was, but IT SO IS. My review should be up in the next couple of days.

  3. Ginny was pretty awesome! Liked seeing her character develop from when we briefly glimpse her as a younger sister in the first book to become the heroine she grows into later! Because down the line she does become a heroine by helping out! Loved her in the fifth book!

    Here's my Friday Hops

  4. It's cool that you picked Ginny over Hermione, who seems to be a popular choice from Harry Potter! :D Haha I'm so with you when you said you liked how Ginny didn't pine for Harry but went out there and started seeing new people.

I liked Stephanie Perkins' Anna and the French Kiss, I wish I could be in Paris right now ): Looking forward to Lola and the Boy-Next-Door!
