In My Mailbox #24

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren that gives bloggers the opportunity to showcase the books they’ve received that week. You can learn more about it here.

This is my IMM for the past two weeks, since I was out of town for Thanksgiving. And make sure you read all the way through, because the BEST part is at the end. :D

For Review:

The Catastrophic History of You and Me by Jess Rothenberg (from Around the World ARC Tours)

From NetGalley:

Allegiance (Legacy 2) by Cayla Kluver
New Girl by Paige Harbison

Super Exciting Bonus Package:

So back in May when I graduated from college, my two younger brothers told me they were getting me a Kindle for my graduation present, but we ended up deciding to wait until the new versions were released, which means that I’ve been kindle-less for the past six months, eagerly (and not-so-patiently) waiting.

AND GUESS WHAT CAME IN THE MAIL THIS WEEK???

That’s right. I now have a gorgeous, super-lickable Kindle boyfriend (and a gorgeous green case). Which means I don’t have to kill my eyes reading all my ebooks on my computer screen. There aren’t words for how excited this makes me.

AND now I need your help. Brodie and I have been discussing which lickable boy name should be bestowed upon my new Kindle, and I’d love your suggestions. I think I’m leaning heavily towards St. Clair (because hello, then I get to say things like, “I’m in bed with St. Clair” – clearly an excellent choice, right??), but I’m also considering Cricket (from Steph Perkins’ Lola and the Boy Next Door), Char (from Gail Carson Levine’s Ella Enchanted - and my first ever book crush!), and Adam (there are SO many amazing Adams in YA lit – Jennifer Echols’ The Boys Next Door/Endless Summer, Gayle Forman’s If I Stay & Where She Went, and Tahereh Mafi’s Shatter Me).

So, what do you think? I know there are tons of lickable YA boys out there that I haven’t even considered, so I’m open to ideas. :D

That’s it for me, what’s in your mailbox this week?

  2. Catastrophic History! New Girl! Brodie wants!! Really eager to read those, so I can't wait for your reviews!

YOUR KINDLE LOOKS SEXIER THAN I IMAGINED! *LICKS IT* But the cover looks blue on my screen... *cough* Anyway. I'm totally campaigning for St. Clair, even though it would make me really uncomfortable for you to say you're in bed with my man. And it seriously LOOKS like a St. Clair! <3

Enjoy your reads and your Kindle!!! While you still have it... *takes my leave on that suspicious note*
